A leather blacksmith apron in tan cowhide with a suede look, it runs from the chest to the thighs. Its adjustable straps cross over at the back.
A buckle lets you take it off quickly, without untying anything. Under the neckline, a small pocket holds a pencil or a tape measure. The leather is thick but stays supple to wear.
New leather is stiff for the first few days. Wear it for a few sessions before a long job, and it will shape to your body. Never in the machine. Brush it once dry, and nourish it from time to time with a leather balm.
