This kitchen porter's apron has a water-repellent coating: splashes bead up before running off. It is short, so your knees stay free between the sink and the pass. The neck strap, cut from the same fabric, has its own adjusting buckle.
Machine wash at 60 °C on a gentle cycle. At least every five washes, iron it all over on a low setting without steam. This keeps it water-repellent.
Give each station its own colour, for example charcoal for the pot wash and navy front of house. Everyone finds their own apron.
