This joiner's apron in brown canvas puts its pockets at hand height, at the bottom of the front. Its long adjustable straps form an X across your back.
A tape measure, a pencil and screws soon add up. The shoulder pads spread the load. They also soften the pressure of the straps. It stops above the knee and leaves your legs free on the ladder.
Adjust the straps once the pockets are full, not when they are empty. Loaded, the apron drops a notch. Keep your pencil on the side of your stronger hand, so it falls under your fingers without looking.
