Kitting out a class or a nursery?
On painting days, this nursery smock goes on from the front, arms in the sleeves, then closes at the back of the neck with a hook-and-loop fastening that opens in one movement. Plain, with a yellow trim at the collar and hem, the painting smock comes in six bright colours. The cuffs are gathered.
No age on the label here: sizes go by height in centimetres, from 85 to 100 cm, 105 to 125 cm, then 130 to 145 cm. Measure your child against a wall, barefoot. From their first nursery painting smock to the end of primary school, one of these three sizes will fit.
Between two heights, at 102 or 127 cm for example? Go for the next size up: gathered at the wrist, the sleeves will not slip over their hands. And in a class where the same smock turns up often, its colour helps your child recognise their own.
